Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْأَلْهَانِيُّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يُوصِي بِالْجَارِ حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيُوَرِّثُهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saying: Jibreel (peace be upon him) advised me so many times regarding the neighbor that I began to think he would also make him an heir.
