حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: اسْتَضْحَكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا فَقِيلَ لَهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا أَضْحَكَكَ؟ قَالَ: " قَوْمٌ يُسَاقُونَ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ مُقَرَّنِينَ فِي السَّلَاسِلِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was smiling. We asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What makes you smile?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "I am amazed at that nation which is dragged to Paradise in chains (their deeds are taking them towards Hell, but Allah’s mercy is taking them towards Paradise)."
