حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ الْحَدَّادُ، حَدَّثَنَا شِهَابُ بْنُ خِرَاشٍ، عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَا ضَلَّ قَوْمٌ بَعْدَ هُدًى كَانُوا عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا أُوتُوا الْجَدَلَ، ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًا بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ} [الزخرف: ٥٨] " (١)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whenever a people go astray after having been upon guidance, they become involved in disputes and quarrels." Then the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) recited this verse: "They have nothing to offer you except dispute; rather, they are a quarrelsome people."
