حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ: " بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى قُرًى عَرَبِيَّةٍ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آخُذَ حَظَّ الْأَرْضِ " قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: حَظُّ الْأَرْضِ: الثُّلُثُ وَالرُّبُعُ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) sent me to a town in Arabia and ordered me to collect a share of the land and bring it. Sufyan says that by the share of the land, a third or a fourth part is meant.
