Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: لَقِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَاعِزَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، فَقَالَ: " أَحَقٌّ مَا بَلَغَنِي عَنْكَ؟ " قَالَ: وَمَا بَلَغَكَ عَنِّي؟ قَالَ: " بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكَ فَجَرْتَ، ، بِأَمَةِ آلِ فُلانٍ؟ "، قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَرَدَّهُ حَتَّى شَهِدَ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِرَجْمِهِ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
”Healing is in three things: a drink of honey, the lancet of the cupper and cauterisation with fire, but I forbid my ummah to use cauterisation.”
