Translation

English translation

The wife of Basheer (may Allah be pleased with him), "Laila," says that once I wanted to fast for two consecutive days, but Basheer (may Allah be pleased with him) stopped me from doing so and said that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) has prohibited this and said that this is what the Christians do. Rather, you should fast in the manner Allah has commanded you: fast until nightfall, and when night comes, break your fast.
