Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَيْوَةُ: عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ، مَوْلَى آبِي اللَّحْمِ: أَنَّهُ " رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَسْقِي عِنْدَ أَحْجَارِ الزَّيْتِ قَرِيبًا مِنَ الزَّوْرَاءِ قَائِمًا، يَدْعُو يَسْتَسْقِي رَافِعًا كَفَّيْهِ، لَا يُجَاوِزُ بِهِمَا رَأْسَهُ مُقْبِلٌ بِبَاطِنِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umair (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) standing at a place called "Ahjar al-Zayt" (which is near the place of Zawra), making the supplication for rain (du'a istisqa). At that time, the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) had the inner sides of his palms facing towards his face.
