حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ (١) ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ سَرْجِسَ، أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ، صَاحِبِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ أَخَفَّ النَّاسِ صَلَاةً عَلَى النَّاسِ، وَأَدْوَمَهُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Nafi' bin Sarjas (may Allah have mercy on him) says that we went to visit Waqid (may Allah be pleased with him) during his final illness, and I heard him saying that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) would lead the people in the lightest (shortest) prayer, but when he prayed alone, he would perform the longest prayer. ﷺ
