Abdullah bin Yazid says that I asked Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) about the lizard, and he declared it disliked. I said to him, "Your people eat it?" He replied, "Perhaps they do not know." At this, a man present there said, "I heard this hadith from Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade every animal obtained by looting, that which is snatched, or every predator that hunts with its canine teeth." Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) affirmed this.
