حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الْقُرْدُوسِيُّ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ إِعْطَاءِ السُّلْطَانِ، قَالَ: " مَا آتَاكَ اللهُ مِنْهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ مَسْأَلَةٍ وَلَا إِشْرَافٍ، فَخُذْهُ وَتَمَوَّلْهُ " قَالَ: وَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ، رَحِمَهُ اللهُ: " لَا بَأْسَ بِهَا مَا لَمْ تَرْحَلْ إِلَيْهَا، أَوْ تَشَرَّفْ لَهَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) about the ruling on accepting gifts and grants from a king. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Without asking and without desiring, whatever Allah grants you, accept it, and benefit from it."
