حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَيَّانَ الدِّمَشْقِيِّ، أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمُّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، قَالَ: " لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ الْحَارِّ الشَّدِيدِ الْحَرِّ، حَتَّى إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَضَعُ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ مِنْ شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ، وَمَا فِي الْقَوْمِ صَائِمٌ إِلَّا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were on a journey with the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) in intense heat, and due to the severity of the heat, we would place our hands on our heads. On that occasion, none of us was fasting except the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and Abdullah bin Rawaha (may Allah be pleased with him).
