Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: If I did not fear hardship for my ummah, I would have commanded them to use the miswak at the time of every prayer. For this reason, whenever Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) would go to the mosque, the miswak would be placed on his ear in the same way as a scribe keeps his pen, and when the iqamah was called, he would use the miswak before starting the prayer.
