Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, at that time we used to buy and sell fruits before they had ripened. Once, a case regarding this was presented for the hearing of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "What is the matter?" It was told that these people had bought fruits, and now they are saying that only rotten and useless fruits have come into their share. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not buy and sell fruits until they have ripened."
