حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ (١) مَكْحُولٍ، وَعَطِيَّةَ، وَضَمْرَةَ، وَرَاشِدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ: أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ زَوْجٍ، وَأُخْتٍ لِأُمٍّ وَأَبٍ " فَأَعْطَى الزَّوْجَ النِّصْفَ، وَالْأُخْتَ النِّصْفَ "، فَكُلِّمَ فِي ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: "حَضَرْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى بِذَلِكَ " (٢)، °
Translation
English translation
Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the issue of inheritance: A woman passed away whose heirs were a husband and a full sister. He gave half of the wealth to the husband and the other half to the sister. Someone spoke to him about this, so he said: Once I was present in the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), and he also gave the same verdict.
