Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالا: " سَنَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، الصَّلاةَ فِي السَّفَرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَهِيَ تَمَامٌ، وَالْوَتْرُ فِي السَّفَرِ سُنَّةٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Sa’eed bin Shufay said:
I was with Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه)... And he mentioned the same hadeeth.
