حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، وَعَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا دَيْلَمُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ الْعَطَّارُ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ أَبِي دُبَيٍّ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ: حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ أَبِي حَرْبِ بْنِ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ مِحْجَنٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ لَتُولَعُ الرَّجُلَ بِإِذْنِ اللهِ، يَتَصَعَّدُ حَالِقًا ثُمَّ يَتَرَدَّى مِنْهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: By the will of Allah, a person's eye becomes so enamored with something that he keeps climbing upon the thing to be shaved, then a time comes when he falls down from it.
