حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَا} [يس: ٣٨] قَالَ: "مُسْتَقَرُّهَا تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that I asked the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) about the meaning of this verse: "The sun runs to its resting place." The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: The resting place of the sun is beneath the Throne. Hadith number (21644) is also narrated through this second chain.
