حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السِّخْتِيَانِيِّ، وَخَالِدٍ، ، الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، كِلَاهُمَا ذَكَرَهُ: خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ بُجْدَانَ، وَأَيُّوبُ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ: أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ أَجْنَبَ فَدَعَا لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَاءٍ، فَاسْتَتَرَ وَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ: "إِنَّ الصَّعِيدَ الطَّيِّبَ وَضُوءُ لِلْمُسْلِمِ (١) وَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدِ الْمَاءَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، وَإِذَا وَجَدَ الْمَاءَ فَلْيُمِسَّهُ بَشَرَتَهُ، فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ هُوَ خَيْرٌ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he became obliged to perform ghusl. In that state, he came to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) had water brought for him. He performed ghusl behind a curtain. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him: Pure earth is a means of ablution for a Muslim, even if he does not find water for ten years. When water is found, he should pour it over his body, for that is better for him.
