حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ إِذْ قَامَ إِلَيْهِ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فِيهِ جَفَاءٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَكَلتْنَا (١) الضَّبُعُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "غَيْرُ ذَلِكَ أَخْوَفُ لِي عَلَيْكُمْ، حِينَ تُصَبُّ عَلَيْكُمُ الدُّنْيَا صَبًّا، فَيَا لَيْتَ أُمَّتِي لَا يَتَحَلَّوْنَ الذَّهَبَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) was delivering a sermon when a hard-natured Bedouin stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Famine will consume us." The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I fear another thing for you regarding yourselves: when the world will be poured upon you. I wish that at that time my Ummah would not wear gold jewelry."
