حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ، ، الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَيُّ الْأَدْيَانِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " الْحَنِيفِيَّةُ السَّمْحَةُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
When the Prophet (ﷺ) died, his shield was being held in pledge by a Jewish man for thirty sa's of barley that he took as provision for his family.
