Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to attend the gatherings of the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) would remain silent most of the time and would laugh little. However, in the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ), the companions would recite poetry and mention incidents from the days of ignorance and laugh, but the Prophet (ﷺ) would only smile.
