Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ بِ ق، وَكَانَ صَلَاتُهُ بَعْدُ تَخْفِيفًا " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the prayer of the Prophet (ﷺ) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to lead a light prayer, and in the Fajr prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) would recite Surah Qaf and similar surahs.
