حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ رَجُلٌ (٤) قَالَ:، ، يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنْ شِئْتَ "، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ. Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Prophet (ﷺ), "Should I perform a new ablution after eating goat meat?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If you wish." Then the narrator mentioned the complete hadith. Abdullah says that I heard Hajjaj bin Sha'ir asking my father, "Who is more preferable in your view, Umar Naqid or Mu'ayti?" He replied, "Umar Naqid strives to seek the truth in speech."
