Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ نَاصِحٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (٣) ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَأَنْ يُؤَدِّبَ، ، الرَّجُلُ وَلَدَهُ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ بِنِصْفِ صَاعٍ "، (١) قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: " مَا حَدَّثَ (٢) أَبِي عَنْ نَاصِحٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (٣) غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ "،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If a person teaches good manners to his children, it is better for him than giving half a sa’ of charity every day."
