حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ ذَرِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي أُحَدِّثُ نَفْسِي بِالشَّيْءِ، لَأَنْ أخِرَّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَتَكَلَّمَ بِهِ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي رَدَّ كَيَدَهُ إِلَى الْوَسْوَسَةِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) moved on from ‘Arafah, the people began to rush and he said - or it was called out to them -:
"It is not righteousness to make the horse or camel rush." He said: And I did not see any of these mounts raising its feet and rushing, until we reached Muzdalifah.
