حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، وَيُوسُفُ الصَّفَّارُ، مَوْلَى بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ سِيَاهٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ،، ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَالِسًا فِي مَجْلِسٍ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبِي سَمُرَةَ جَالِسٌ أَمَامِي، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ الْفُحْشَ، وَالتَّفَحُّشَ (١) لَيْسَا مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ فِي شَيْءٍ، وَإِنَّ خَيْرَ النَّاسِ إِسْلَامًا أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا " (٢) ، قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ، •
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was present in a gathering of the Prophet (ﷺ). My father, Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), was sitting in front. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Indecency and foul speech have nothing to do with Islam, and in terms of Islam, the best person among the people is the one whose character is the best.
