حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الله، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ، يَقُولُ: " كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي جَنَازَةِ أَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ، وَهُوَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ يَتَوَقَّصُ، وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى حَوْلَهُ " (٣)، •
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, led the funeral prayer of Abu Dahdah. We were with him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was riding a horse which started to shy. Seeing this, we began to run behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
