حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْوَرَكَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: جَالَسْتُهُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ مِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ، يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، كَذَا قَالَ الْوَرَكَانِيُّ، " مَا كَانَ يَخْطُبُ إِلَّا قَائِمًا، يَخْطُبُ (١) خُطْبَتَهُ الْأُولَى، ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ قَعْدَةً، ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ خُطْبَتَهُ الْأُخْرَى " (٢)، •
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I have attended more than a hundred gatherings of the Prophet (ﷺ). I always heard him delivering the sermon while standing; he would deliver the first sermon and then sit down, then stand up and deliver the second sermon.
