حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ سِيَاهٍ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ رَيَّاحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ فِي مَجْلِسٍ فِيهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: وَأَبِي سَمُرَةُ جَالِسٌ أَمَامِي، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ الْفُحْشَ، وَالتَّفَحُّشَ لَيْسَا مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ، وَإِنَّ أَحْسَنَ النَّاسِ إِسْلَامًا، أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I was present in a gathering of the Prophet (ﷺ). My father, Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), was sitting in front of me. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Indecency and foul speech have nothing to do with Islam, and according to Islam, the best person among people is the one whose character is the best.
