حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَوْلَا أَنَّ الْكِلَابَ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ، لَأَمَرْتُ بِقَتْلِهَا، وَلَكِنْ اقْتُلُوا مِنْهَا كُلَّ أَسْوَدَ بَهِيمٍ " (٥)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If dogs were not a community (ummah) among the communities, I would have ordered their extermination. Therefore, kill every extremely black dog.
