حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ، ٢٠٥٤٠ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ صُهْبَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْخَذْفِ، وَقَالَ: " إِنَّهُ لَا يَنْكَأُ عَدُوًّا، وَلَا يَصِيدُ صَيْدًا، وَلَكِنَّهُ يَكْسِرُ السِّنَّ، وَيَفْقَأُ الْعَيْنَ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Mughaffal that the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade throwing pebbles at someone and said that by this neither the enemy is subdued nor any game can be caught; however, it can break a tooth and injure an eye.
