حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ ثُرْمُلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهَدَةً بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهَا، فَقَدْ حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ أَنْ يَشُمَّ، ، رِيحَهَا " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever kills a Mu'ahid (a non-Muslim with a peace treaty) unjustly, Allah makes the fragrance of Paradise forbidden for him.
