Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ، قَالَ: كَتَبَ أَبُو بَكَرَةَ إِلَى ابْنِهِ وَهُوَ عَامِلٌ بِسِجِسْتَانَ: أَنْ لَا تَقْضِيَ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ وَأَنْتَ غَضْبَانُ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَا يَقْضِ حَكَمٌ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ، أَوْ خَصْمَيْنِ، وَهُوَ غَضْبَانُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: No ruler should decide between two men while he is angry.
