حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ، وَعَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ، ، قُمْتُ رَمَضَانَ كُلَّهُ "، قَالَ قَتَادَةُ: " فَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ، أَخَشِيَ عَلَى أُمَّتِهِ التَّزْكِيَةَ "، قَالَ عَفَّانُ: أَوْ قَالَ: " لَا بُدَّ مِنْ رَاقِدٍ أَوْ غَافِلٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: None of you should say, "I stood (in prayer) for the entire Ramadan," (because there is no way to avoid heedlessness or sleep; it is possible that on some day he may have slept through it).
