حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْأَوْدِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنَةِ مَعْقِلٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ، قَالَتْ: لَمَّا ثَقُلَ أَبِي أَتَاهُ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ وَسَاقَهُ، (٢) يَعْنِي وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ، (٣)،
Translation
English translation
Narrated to us Ya'la ibn 'Ubayd, narrated to us Isma'il—meaning ibn Abi Khalid—from Isma'il al-Awdi, from the daughter of Ma'qil al-Muzani, she said: When my father became seriously ill, Ibn Ziyad came to him... and he continued, meaning: he continued the hadith.
