Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّ مَعْقِلَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ اشْتَكَى، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، (٢) يَعُودُهُ، فَقَالَ: أَمَا إِنِّي سَأُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا لَمْ أَكُنْ حَدَّثْتُكَ بِهِ،، ، إِنِّي (١) سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " لَا يَسْتَرْعِي اللهُ عَبْدًا رَعِيَّةً، فَيَمُوتُ يَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَهُوَ لَهَا غَاشٌّ، إِلَّا حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever is appointed as a guardian over some subjects and then deceives them and dies in that state, Allah makes Paradise forbidden for him.
