حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْكَاتِبُ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي ابْنُ سِيرِينَ: " صَنَعْتُ سَيْفِي عَلَى سَيْفِ سَمُرَةَ ". وَقَالَ سَمُرَةُ: " صَنَعْتُ سَيْفِي عَلَى سَيْفِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَكَانَ حَنَفِيًّا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Ibn Sirin used to say that I made my sword like the sword of Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), and Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I made my sword like the sword of the Prophet (ﷺ), and he was steadfast on the religion of Hanif.
