Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ حَدَّثَ بِحَدِيثٍ وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ كَذِبٌ، فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَاذِبِينَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever narrates a hadith from me and he thinks that this hadith is false, then he is one of the two liars.
