Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ قَتَلَ عَبْدَهُ قَتَلْنَاهُ، وَمَنْ جَدَعَهُ جَدَعْنَاهُ "، قَالَ يَحْيَى: ثُمَّ نَسِيَ الْحَسَنُ بَعْدُ، فَقَالَ: لَا يُقْتَلُ بِهِ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever kills his slave, we will kill him, and whoever cuts off his slave’s nose, we will cut off his nose.
