حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ (٣) أَبِي الْحُرِّ،، ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ بِقَرْنٍ، وَهُو يُشْرَطُ بِطَرْفِ سِكِّينٍ، فَدَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ شَمْخَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: لِمَ تُمَكِّنُ ظَهْرَكَ أَوْ عُنُقَكَ مِنْ هَذَا يَفْعَلُ بِهَا مَا أَرَى؟ فَقَالَ: " هَذَا الْحَجْمُ، وَهُوَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was present in the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had called a cupper, who came with his horn. He applied the horn to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and made an incision with a lancet. Meanwhile, a Bedouin from Fazara also arrived. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, why have you allowed him to cut your skin?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "This is called cupping, and it is the best method."
