Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَأَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ أَصَابَ مَتَاعَهُ بِعَيْنِهِ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ، وَيَتْبَعُ صَاحِبُهُ مَنْ اشْتَرَاهُ مِنْهُ "، وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ مَرَّةً: " مَنْ وَجَدَ مَتَاعَهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever sees his own goods with someone, he has a greater right to them, and the buyer will take his price from the seller.
