Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ،، ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " عَلَى الْيَدِ مَا أَخَذَتْ حَتَّى تُؤَدِّيَهُ "، ثُمَّ نَسِيَ الْحَسَنُ قَالَ: لَا يَضْمَنُ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whatever one hand takes from another remains a responsibility upon it until it is returned (to the giver).
