Original Arabic
قَالَ: وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّهُ مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ، تُذْبَحُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ سَابِعِهِ، وَيُسَمَّى، وَيُحْلَقُ رَأْسُهُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
And the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Every boy is held in pledge for his 'aqiqah, so sacrifice should be offered on his behalf on the seventh day, his name should be given on that day, and his head should be shaved.
