Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ قَالَ: عَفَّانُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ الْكَيِّ، ، فَاكْتَوَيْنَا، فَمَا أَفْلَحْنَ وَلَا أَنْجَحْنَ " (١) وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ: فَلَمْ يُفْلِحْنَ، وَلَمْ يُنْجِحْنَ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us from using cauterization as a treatment, but we continued to use cauterization and were never successful.
