حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، وَعَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: وَكَانَ رَجُلًا مَبْسُورًا قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ وَالرَّجُلُ قَاعِدٌ فَقَالَ: " مَنْ صَلَّى قَائِمًا فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى قَاعِدًا فَلَهُ نِصْفُ أَجْرِ الْقَائِمِ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى نَائِمًا فَلَهُ نِصْفُ أَجْرِ الْقَاعِدِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about praying while sitting. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Performing prayer while standing is the most virtuous; the reward for praying while sitting is half of that for praying while standing, and the reward for praying while lying down is half of that for praying while sitting.
