حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ يَعْنِي الْعَطَّارَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ أَتَتْ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ: إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ وَهِيَ حَامِلٌ، فَأَمَرَ بِهَا أَنْ يُحْسَنَ إِلَيْهَا حَتَّى تَضَعَ، فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْ جِيءَ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَشُكَّتْ عَلَيْهَا ثِيَابُهَا، ثُمَّ رَجَمَهَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا. فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ تُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا وَقَدْ زَنَتْ؟ قَالَ: " لَقَدْ تَابَتْ تَوْبَةً لَوْ قُسِمَتْ بَيْنَ سَبْعِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ لَوَسِعَتْهُمْ،، ، وَهَلْ وَجَدْتَ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَنْ جَادَتْ بِنَفْسِهَا لِلَّهِ؟ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman from the tribe of Juhaina confessed to adultery before the Prophet (ﷺ) and said that she was pregnant. The Prophet (ﷺ) called her guardian and said to him: Treat her well, and when she gives birth to the child, inform me. He did so. Then, on the order of the Prophet (ﷺ), the woman's body was wrapped well in clothes, and on the order of the Prophet (ﷺ), she was stoned to death. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) offered her funeral prayer. Seeing this, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! You stoned her and are also offering her funeral prayer? The Prophet (ﷺ) said: She has repented with such a repentance that if it were distributed among seventy people of Madinah, it would be enough for them. And have you seen anything superior to this, that she sacrificed her life for Allah?
