حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ أَخَاكُمْ، ، النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَقُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ " قَالَ: فَقُمْنَا فَصَفَفْنَا عَلَيْهِ كَمَا نَصُفُّ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ، وَصَلَّيْنَا عَلَيْهِ كَمَا نُصَلِّي عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Today your brother Najashi has passed away, so perform his funeral prayer." So the Prophet (ﷺ) stood up and we formed rows behind him, then he led the funeral prayer for him as is usually done.
