حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: {أَوْ أَثَرَةٍ (١) مِنْ عِلْمٍ} [الأحقاف: ٤] ، قَالَ: " الْخَطُّ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn "Abbas that
the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in Fajr prayer on Fridays “Alif lam meem Tanzeel” (i.e., Soorat as-Sajdah) and "Hal ata” [i.e., Soorat al-Insan]; and in Jumu’ah prayer (he used to recite Soorat) al-Jumu’ah and "Idha ja"akal Munafiqoon"" [i.e., Sooratal Munafiqoon].
