حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ هِلَالِ بْنِ أَبِي زَيْنَبَ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى الْقُشَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ: " أَيُّكُمْ قَرَأَ بـ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى؟ " قَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ: أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ. قَالَ: " لَقَدْ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ بَعْضَكُمْ خَالَجَنِيهَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) led the Zuhr prayer, and one of the followers recited the Surah "Sabbihisma Rabbikal A'la." After finishing the prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "Who among you recited 'Sabbihisma Rabbikal A'la'?" One man said, "I did." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I realized that someone among you was contending with me."
