حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْخَفَّافُ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ الْمُعَلِّمِ قَالَ: وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ رَجُلًا ذَا أَسَقَامٍ كَثِيرَةٍ فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَلَاتِي قَاعِدًا قَالَ: " صَلَاتُكَ قَاعِدًا عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلَاتِكَ قَائِمًا، وَصَلَاةُ الرَّجُلِ مُضْطَجِعًا عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ قَاعِدًا " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that I was suffering from many illnesses at the same time. I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about performing prayer while sitting. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The reward for performing prayer while sitting is half of that for performing prayer while standing, and the reward for performing prayer while lying down is half of that for performing prayer while sitting.
